Every time someone says “But Trump did some good things,” I feel like I’m being gaslit by the entire room.
Because here’s the truth: whatever “good” Trump did during his time in office was either for the rich, for white Americans, or for the rich white Americans who say the quiet parts out loud now – because he made them feel safe doing it.
And the rest of us? The brown kids, the immigrants, the queer folks, the women, the Muslims, the poor, the disabled, the actual working class?
We were the collateral damage.
We were the punchline.
We were the ones forced to “understand both sides” while one side questioned our humanity.
🧠 Let’s Be Real: Trump’s Wins Were Never Meant to Last for Us
Yes, some people saw more money in their checks before COVID hit.
Yes, he signed criminal justice reform that helped some folks.
Yes, he met with Black celebrities and said “I’ve done more for Black Americans than any other president.”
But then…
- He tried to strip DACA and deport Dreamers.
- He sided with white nationalists in Charlottesville.
- He banned Muslims from entering the country.
- He called Mexicans rapists, then built a wall that didn’t work but sent a message: “You’re not wanted.”
- He openly mocked disabled people, war heroes, women, and journalists.
- He weaponized ICE and turned trauma into applause lines.
So even if one thing helped you, what was the cost?
And who had to suffer for that help to happen?
💥 And Now He’s Back – Worse Than Before
Trump is now openly risking war with Iran, drumming up fear, and inflaming racism like it’s part of his campaign merch. He’s back at it – and MAGA is louder, scarier, and more shameless than ever.
He isn’t “controversial.” He’s dangerous.
And if you support him in 2025, you’re not “just about the economy.” You’re cosigning everything he’s ever said and done. Period.
💔 “But I’m Latino and I Support Trump”
To my fellow Latinos riding that MAGA wave – this hurts to say, but it has to be said:
You are not the exception. You are the distraction.
You are the “see, we’re not racist!” sticker slapped over policies designed to hurt the very people you grew up with.
And deep down, you know it. That tiny gut feeling? That tension you feel trying to explain your support? That’s your soul trying to speak louder than your pride.
🧊 ICE Doesn’t Just “Take” People – It Shatters Lives
Let’s talk about ICE. Not just the headlines – the aftermath.
When Trump empowered ICE to ramp up raids, detentions, and fear-based tactics, he didn’t just go after undocumented people – he destroyed families.
For every person detained or deported, there are:
- parents grieving,
- children developing anxiety disorders,
- friends traumatized by what they saw,
- spouses drowning in paperwork and uncertainty,
- entire communities living in fear, long after the sirens have stopped.
This kind of trauma doesn’t vanish with a new administration.
Even with therapy, even with time, it lives in people’s bones.
It becomes a defining moment – the worst phase of their lives.
And meanwhile, the same people cheering it on… go home and pray.
Go home and call themselves “good Christians.”
Go home and believe that they’re somehow on the side of righteousness.
✝️ What Exactly Do You Think God Is Going to Judge You For?
Because if you think Judgment Day is going to be about whether you lied once, or gossiped, or went over the speed limit, or didn’t work hard enough at your 9-to-5…
But you voted for a man who ripped families apart, mocked the oppressed, and built a movement rooted in cruelty?
You might be in for a painful reality check.
💭 People Do Random Acts of Kindness for Good Karma…
…to make someone’s day, to feel like they’re a light in the world.
But you? If you cheered for policies that broke up homes, that made kids cry themselves to sleep, that made people scared to speak Spanish or wear a turban…
And you’re out here acting like you’re the moral one?
Yikes.
Truly. Deeply. Eternally: yikes.
You may never face the consequences directly.
Maybe your job is safe. Maybe your life is fine.
But karma doesn’t work like a parking meter.
Sometimes it hits your circle – your kids, your family, your afterlife.
And when it comes? You’ll “deal with it when it comes,” right?
Just like everything else. Just like you did with Trump.
🌫️ Even If Things Settle… We Won’t Forget
Even if the economy rebounds.
Even if Trump disappears.
Even if people move on.
We won’t forget the terror.
We won’t forget who clapped when our families were hurting.
We won’t forget who stayed silent.
We won’t forget who chose themselves over us.
🛑 MAGA Will Never Truly Understand
Because they never had to.
They never feared being snatched from their home.
They never watched their mom cry in a waiting room, praying for papers to go through.
They never had to “prove” they were American enough to feel safe.
💬 Final Thought
This isn’t about politics anymore.
This is about human decency.
And the people who looked the other way when we were suffering?
We see you now.
We remember.
You chose hate dressed up as policy.
You chose safety for yourself while the rest of us walked on eggshells.
So even if things settle down, don’t expect us to settle in.
We’re awake now.
And we will never trust MAGA again.
Not after what it did.
Not after what you let it become.
