3 Reasons To Stop Trying To Please Everyone

Trying to please every single person is like trying to watch every single video on YouTube. It’s just not likely to happen.

Throughout my life I’ve always been a people pleaser. It bugs me when someone doesn’t like me. However, you are bound to come across multiple people in your life that don’t like you and it’s okay.

Not everyone needs to like you. So it’s better to just help yourself out and stop. Don’t spend any more of your sweet time on anyone that isn’t contributing anything positive into your life.

Perhaps you are trying hard to please someone at school, work, or even family. Well screw it. It’s time for you to realize, that trying to get someone to like you is not your job or your problem. Here are 3 reasons why you should just stop now.

1. Not everyone will like you. It doesn’t matter what you do or don’t do…sometimes people still just won’t like you. It might be jealousy or your vibe or just your face.

Who knows? It won’t matter how nice you are or how many favors you do, you will always find yourself trying to kiss their butt or get in their good graces and you won’t see it happen…So, STOP unless you enjoy being taken advantage of.

2. It’s exhausting!

Life is so hard and tiring as is, especially when you have to work or have goals to meet or [insert your life purpose/challenges here]. So why waste time on someone who doesn’t care? If you are going to wear yourself out doing some useless thing at least do something cool like watch Malcolm in the Middle or Happy Gilmore. Just kidding, those aren’t useless.🙃

3. It’s a waste of your good energy.

Do you really want to focus your time and good energy on bullshit? Hell no, focus that on you and your goals/dreams. Go get your shit together and live your life to the fullest because that person you are trying to please most likely does not give two shits about you. They are just messing up your peace of mind and taking up your precious time.

A huge weight will be lifted off your shoulders, trust me. It’s important to mention that this is not easy and you will have to be aware of when you try to go back to old habits.

Just remember that sometimes with certain people it doesn’t matter what you do or don’t do. They still might not end up liking you. Just accept it and move on. At the end of the day, you are just not their cup of tea. Or coffee. Or beer. Kombucha? Who knows. 🤷🏻‍♀️
